  • HBJ – ITI, Dabhol is located at Western Cost of India, between Mumbai and Goa,  known as Kokan. Entire Kokan belt is spreaded over the cost of Arabian Sea one side and covered by beautiful Sahadari Hills on other side.

    Dabhol is considered as 5000 years old port and also known as  “Oldest Gateway to India or Qadeem Babul Hind” where Portuguese and Arabs have landed in olden days in search of trade. During 15th and 16th Centuries it was ruled by  Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Dabhol has very rich, historical and cultural back ground.  This village is comprising of different communities living together in peace and harmony as an example of India’s unity in diversity. The village initially was having facilities up to primary education, then later Marathi and Urdu medium high schools were established.

    To expand the scope for educational upliftment of the area under the able leadership of Adv. U A Panchi a new trust KOKAN SARVANGIN UTKARSH MANDAL was established in the year 2008, registered under Maharashtra Charitable Act Reg. No. E-25077(MH), comprising of four 4 more Directors, Kamal Mandlekar, Dada Miya  Khatib, Laik Mahaldar and Syed Zahoor. It got real boost in the year 2011 when Kokan’s leading educationist and NRI businessman Hassan Chougule joined KSUM. Later two more famous personalities of Kokan Mr Fakir Ahmed Kaldane and Mr Sanaullah Gharatkar  came into the fold. 

    SCOPE FOR TECHNICAL EDUCATION:

    To support the Government of India’s initiatives for technical education, to support the reasonable numbers of high school drop outs in the region and to support the demand for technocrats to the existing shipping and engineering industry at Dabhol, KSUM thought of starting a Technical Institute, which will be affiliated to NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR VOCATIONAL TRAINING (NCVT) under Craftsman Training Schemes (CTS) & Directorate of Vocational Education and Training Maharashtra.

    KSUM’s HBJ – ITI CAMPUS:

     HBJ – ITI campus is on a piece of land near Chandika Mandir, having  scenic view of Arabian Sea at one side and by Washishti  creek reaching up to Chiplun and Khed on other side. Adjacent to campus is a new petrol station and a police station under construction, surrounded by green lavish trees.   

    Building “ A” is a state of the art main building having almost all the required administrative and technical facilities, fully equipped  with hi tech amenities. Building “B” having two workshops for Diesel Mechanics and Welder trade. Buiding “C” is a 100 bed boys hostel.

Chairman's Profile

H.A.Chougule: A Prominent NRI, a resident of Qatar for the past 38 years. Born on 1st January 1951 at a small village of Kokan, Bahirwali, Taluka Khed, District Ratnagiri, educated in Mumbai. Landed in Qatar in 1977. Managing Director, Emad Group of Companies and  Vice Chairman of SUCCESS Hospitality group.

He has been listed as 1 of The 100 Global Indian, 1 of the 100 Most Powerful Arabian Indian, and 1 of the 100 Super Indians of MEENA countries (2013). Awardee of the most prestigious “PRAWASI BHARTIYA SAMMAN” at Jaipur on 9th January 2012, by President of India Smt. Pratibha Patil.
